Herbex Scutellaria
Scutellaria Baicalensis is a perennial herb belonging to the Scutellaria of the Labiatae. The active component Baicalin enables it to exhibit antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative and whitening effects.

Features and benefits:
Anti-bacteria: Baicalin and Baicalein inhibits Staphylococcus Aureus, so Herbex Scutellaria can be used in anti-acne products;Baicalin and Baicalein inhibits Candida Albicans, Neisseria Gonorrhoeae and Molds, so Herbex Scutellaria can be used in external cleaning products, to prevent and treat venereal disease and mycotic vaginitis;
Baicalin and Baicalein inhibits Bacteria and Fungi, so Herbex Scutellaria can help reduce the usage of preservers in cosmetics.
Anti-inflammation and anti-allergy: Baicalin inhibits the biosynthesis of LTB4 and LTC4 in Leukocyte; it also prevents the release of allergic reaction medium, stabilizes the Mast Cell Membrane, thus resisting allergic reaction.
Anti-oxidation: Baicalin and Baicalein can decrease the formation of free radicals or scavenge the existing free radicals, thus slowing down skin ageing process and preventing the formation of skin wrinkles.
Whitening: Baicalin can alleviate the cell damage caused by ultraviolet irradiation and competitively inhibit Tyrosinase, thus whitening skin.
